Natural ways to soothe an itchy dog through diet

If your dog is constantly scratching their diet might be the key. Natural ways to soothe itchy skin start from the inside out.

Add fatty fish like salmon or sardines for omega-3s – they’re brilliant at reducing inflammation. I buy tinned Sardines in either olive oil or Tomato sauce from the supermarket and just dump them ontop of the Cold Pressed Pellets once a week but of course you can buy them online here 12 Cans of Sardines in Olive Oil

Sweet potatoes, blueberries, and pumpkin are packed with antioxidants that support skin health too. If you follow my blog you know i consider Pumpkin Magical Stuff either Pureed in a can or Pumpkin Powder we use everyday!

Collagen Powder is a game-changer for itchy dogs. It helps repair the skin barrier and supports joint health at the same time. Powder is better than liquid because it’s easier to measure accurately, has no added fillers or sugars, and mixes straight into food without changing the taste. Our Labrador has been on collegen powder for 3 weeks now and he has stopped itching his chin on all the furniture! Yay! This is a big win for us and thanks to his Cold Pressed diet with Pumpkin and Collagen daily.

Switching to cold-pressed food instead of regular kibble can make a big difference too. It’s created at low temperatures so it keeps far more natural nutrients, enzymes, and healthy oils that high-heat kibble destroys. That means better digestion, less inflammation, and less itching. We feed Wilsons Cold Pressed as its great value and contains taurine which is essential for dogs digestion.

Start with adding  Pumpkin and Collagen , be consistent, and you will see their coat and skin calm down in just a few weeks. We are proof that it works!
