Like many small businesses (and dog parents!), we've seen rising costs and real pressures, but one thing that hasn't changed is our commitment to the best for your dogs. That's why I'm launching this blog: to share simple, practical nutrition tips that support active, happy pups like the ones who join us for playtime. No fancy jargon—just real advice from someone who sees dozens of dogs every week and wants them thriving.  I am an amazon associate and will be able to provide links to all the products we use and I will also be advising on all the nautral things you can add to your dogs bowl to boost their nutritional content and immune system.

Recent surveys show UK dog owners are prioritising health this year: 35% want their dog to eat healthier, 61% aim for longer walks, and about half of dogs here in the UK are estimated to be overweight. Trends point to gut health, cleaner labels (fewer ingredients), high-meat or fish diets, and even microbiome-aware choices. It's exciting—pets are family, and we're all aiming higher!

I have been working with dogs for over 10 years now and I have a Black Labrador, a Rottweiller and a White Pug of my own. So lots of experience of different breeds and their different needs. I run doggy day-care in Surrey in the UK and walk the dogs in 11 acres of woodland from my back garden. My husband and I work together here at Walks With Bear, Hinchley Wood and then i have an amazing Lady called Rachel working for me, she runs Walks With Bear, Thames Ditton and walks by the River Thames each day.
